The lifting & handling machinery and equipment
under the Toyota trademark are produced at the Takahama Plant in Japan and are
certified against
the ISO9001, ISO14001
standards. The Plant was established in 1970.
Takahama is a modernized forklift truck manufacturing
plant with the world’s highest production capacity. The Plant site is 374 000
sq. m and the Plant’s production capacity is 100 000 units. The Plant
manufactures forklifts and some other industrial cargo body trucks. In
production of its machinery the Plant uses the most-up-to-date equipment which
is operated the best qualified workers.
Every day under flexible and simultaneously strict
control on the basis of the TPS (Toyota Production System), the forklifts
adapted to the climatic conditions and environment of every country, and to
their maintenance conditions are produced by the Plant.
Mjolby Factory (Sweden)
BT warehousing machinery and facilities are produced
in the Swedish BT factory in Mjolby. The
BT factory is also one of the world’s largest producers of specialized
warehousing machinery, including hand pallet trucks and powered pallet
trucks, stackers and reach trucks. The factory was established in 1968, its
area is 76000 sq. m. All the machinery and equipment produced by the factory is
certified against the ISO14001 standard.
The operation is organized into three divisions:
Powered Warehouse Trucks, Hand Pallet Trucks and Spare Parts. Moreover,
a Special Products Centre handles customized design and manufacturing to
further meet individual customer requirements.
